| Can you put the floor heating mats on top of a vinyl a or linoleum floor? |
Yes, but with the provision that you put foor paper on top of the vinyl or linoleum floor first. |
| can one place stepping sound insulation on top of the heating mat? |
No. There is already stepping sound insulation in the floor heating mat. |
| Can one place the floor heating mats directly on top of a concrete floor? |
Yes you can, provided you cover the concrete floor with a Polyethylene film barrier first. |
| Can I use the floor heating system in verandas and orangeries? |
We do not recommend that due to the temperature variation such an installation will encounter. |
| Can I use the floorheating system in bathrooms etc.? |
No the floor heating system is intended for use in dry compartments. |
| What kind of thermostat should be used? |
Use programmable thermostats with wall mounted sensors placed at chest hight. |
| Are there any extra tools needed for installation apart from those commanly used by electricians? |
No! |
| Can I place mats on top of the floor? |
Yes, but avoid so called Sacco bags and thick mats. |
| Do I have the to lay floor heating in the entire room.? |
No,
but you must remember to fill the empty space devoid of heating mats
with cellular plastics, floor paper etc. in order to level it up. |
| Should I fasten the mats towards the floor using tapes or nails.? |
No! |
| Should one use an earth fault protection device? |
Yes! |
| Can I place the the floor heating mat under a vinyl or linoleum top floor? |
Yes, but place standard floor boards between the floor hesting mats and the vinyl or linoleum mats. |
